Recurring to-dos
To-dos that come back on a rhythm, like payroll on the first Monday. One open at a time.
Make one
In New to-do, pick Repeats and a rhythm: Daily, Weekdays, weekly, monthly on a date or on a weekday like the first Monday, or yearly. Custom… takes your own words, like every 2 weeks or every last Friday.
Or just say it: "every first Monday of the month do payroll" in New to-do or in Talk makes a to-do that repeats.
For a to-do you already have, Repeat under More, or say "repeat this every week" in its chat.
How it repeats
The to-do shows one short line, like "Repeats weekly on Monday". There is only ever one open: the next one comes on its date, in your time zone, once this one is done or not needed.
A missed one isn't stacked. It stays open and shows how many dates it missed, and when you finish it the next one comes on the next date from today.
Snoozing moves only this one. The rhythm stays the same.
Each one is prepared like any to-do, and the preparation sees how the previous one went and what was said in its chat.
Change or stop it
Under More: Change repeat picks another rhythm or Stop repeating, and Skip this one closes this one and brings the next on its date. "Stop repeating" in its chat works too. Stopping keeps the open to-do; only the next ones don't come.
Suggestions
When your Machine learns about something you do on a rhythm, or sees the same to-do done on a regular schedule, it asks once: Make this a recurring to-do? Make it recurring or No thanks. It never makes one by itself, and nothing is sent by itself.
