Security levels
One switch, Standard or Careful, sets your security and privacy settings. A Work Fleet's admin picks one for the Fleet.
Two levels
Open Settings, then Security.
- Standard: today's defaults. Nothing changes.
- Careful: stricter, for when you want less on your phone and less kept.
A level is a starting point. Change any setting after, and the level shows Custom. Pick a level again to reset them.
What Careful changes for you
- Text in notifications off: a notification says "New card" or "Ready", not what the card says.
- Offer to save sign-ins off. Signed-in sites you saved stay until you tap Forget all saved sign-ins.
- Look up work contacts and Offer to share learnings off.
- Keep Do it details 90 days off: they're kept 30 days.
- In a Family, free/busy times ask you first. With Friends, meeting context is declined.
A Work Fleet's level
The Fleet's owner or an admin picks it on the account page, under Fleet settings. Everyone in the Fleet sees it. When it's Careful:
- Answers to teammates wait for your OK, without names, and only about people from your work accounts.
- Intros and handoffs wait for you too.
- The team Graph shares client emails without their attachments.
- Notifications for work cards show no text.
- Work contacts aren't looked up.
- Everyone signs in again every 7 days.
- An invite link only works for the email it was sent to.
Members can be stricter than the Fleet, not looser. Their own choices are kept, and come back if the Fleet goes back to Standard.
The same in both
Nothing is sent without your OK: you see each draft and press Send. Do it and coding agents work the same. Sign-in always needs an authenticator code or a passkey.
