Ask to review

Ask a teammate or someone in your Family to look at a to-do, edit its draft and send it back. You choose what to keep.

  1. Ask someone to review a to-do
  2. Reviewing for someone else
  3. Their changes come back

Ask someone to review a to-do

  1. On the to-do, open More and pick Ask to review. It works at any step: before Do it, on a ready draft, or just before you send.
  2. Pick who. A Work to-do goes only to someone in your Work Fleet, a Personal one only to someone in your Family.
  3. Check what goes: the draft (or the to-do's text) and its sources. Leave a source out with ×. Add a note if you like, then pick Ask.

Only that to-do goes, nothing else from your Machine. The to-do now says "Waiting for Pat's review", with Withdraw to take the request back.

Reviewing for someone else

Their request shows up as a to-do of your own: "Review: Reply to Sam about pricing". Edit the draft right there, add a comment, then pick Approve, Send changes, Send comment or Decline.

Your Machine can help in the to-do's chat, but a review to-do never sends anything. Your review goes back to its owner, and they decide what goes out.

Their changes come back

The to-do says what happened: "Pat approved", "Pat commented" or "Pat suggested 3 changes", with their comment. Pick See changes to see each change, marked in the text, with who made it and when.

  • Accept all puts every change in your draft.
  • Accept selected takes only the ticked ones.
  • Ignore leaves the draft as it was.

If you edited the draft in the meantime, changes go in where they still fit. Accepting only changes the draft: nothing is sent until you press Send yourself. The to-do's chat keeps each step ("Asked Pat to review", "Pat suggested 3 changes", "Accepted 2 of Pat's changes").

One review per to-do at a time. Once it's back, declined or withdrawn, you can ask again, the same person or someone else. A request nobody answers expires after 3 days.
